On January 8, the Bariatric & Metabolic Department of The American Surgecenter organized its First Symposium on Bariatric, Metabolic & Robotic Surgery. We took advantage of this meeting to present our one year activity results to our colleagues from different medical center who routinely treat obese patients. We also had the honor of having Dr. Rami Lutfi, Associate Professor of the University of Illinois and Chairman of Surgery in Chicago, as well as Dr. Ahmed Ahmed, Head of the Bariatric Department of the Imperial College of London in the UK, and Dr. Nigel Beejay, Gastroenterologist at the Advanced Center for Daycare Surgery in Abu Dhabi. They all gave high level presentations on the benefits of Bariatric Surgery in the treatment of Obesity and Obesity related diseases.
